Jay Boone opened the doors of Emerald City Guitars in the summer of 1996, and has never looked back. After spending years in the Seattle music scene, Jay got into music retail managing and co-owning several shops in the area. "When I opened my doors almost 14 years ago, a lot of people told me the vintage market was dead, but I was pretty sure it wasn't." Jay has managed to make Emerald City Guitars one of the most highly acclaimed vintage guitar shops in the country, counting many bona-fide super stars as his personal clients . "We always try to keep it down home and friendly at the shop, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service." Jay has been in countless bands over the years, from Widow to MoFo and Bro, and Spike and the Continentals, to name a few. He still managed to fit gigs into his busy lifestyle as a husband, father, business owner, and friend to all who know him.

Trevor has been deeply involved in music his entire life, branching out his experience in many different aspects. Working one on one with musicians of all kinds as a specialist at his father's guitar store taught him not only equipment knowledge, but what it takes to become successful in the industry. His love for music as a whole led to his extreme passion for musical equipment. Whether it was collecting, teaching, engineering/recording, or performing in bands, he has always shown extreme passion for music. Not only does Trevor work at Emerald City Guitars, he also works at Fastback Studios, where he puts a lot of this equipment to the test. Don't let his age fool you, Trevor has more knowledge and hands on experience then most people twice his age.

Eric Daw has been repairing guitars professionally for over 15 years and playing guitar for over 25. He repaired guitars in his Idaho hometown before moving to Seattle in the spring of '02 seeking greater opportunities. Now, years later, Daw's presence at Emerald City has helped propel this guitar store to 'Pro Shop' status. We are proud to say that many of Seattle's professional guitarists choose Eric for their guitar work. His superior quality repair services have come into high demand for touring guitarists, local guitarists, beginning guitarists, and even many high profile & famous guitarists. But don't be afraid; the prices are so competitive that you'll be happy to call him your tech too.

Frank Gross, the self proclaimed "Mayor of Tone City" has a strong passion and love for vintage instruments, great guitar tone, and helping musicians find the best suited guitar for their needs. Frank has worked for Emerald City Guitars on and off since 2002 originally starting off as a shop helper, then took a short leave of absence to tour the world with his now defunct band On the last Day. Frank now works in sales and helps manage the store. He loves old Les Paul Juniors and when he's not at the store can also be seen rocking the Seattle area in his band Me vs. Myself
