1946 Martin 000-28
This 1946 Martin 000-28 was Jimmy Little’s go-to guitar, so it is a true player’s guitar with decades of service. The old photos of him with his name across the top in that bold decal encapsulate a different era of American music, and you can really feel that history in the wood. Like any great old Martin that’s been played hard and loved, this one sings. It’s got a bell-like shimmer on top, a sweet, open midrange, and a strong, focused low end with piano-like clarity. Our friend Mark Tossman brought it back to life with a side crack repair, neck reset, new frets, a replaced bridge and nut, and a fingerboard made from old Martin Brazilian Rosewood. Includes the original hardshell case.
